Privacy & Confidentiality

TalentMap has adopted a number of procedures and policies to ensure confidentiality and anonymity, including the creation of a privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to protecting the privacy and integrity of your organizational data and individual survey respondents. We are compliant with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) which sets out ground rules for how private sector organizations may collect, use or disclose personal information in the course of commercial activities. We take care to ensure that survey respondents are fully aware of the steps that TalentMap takes to protect privacy and confidentiality of responses. We provide information for dissemination to your employees in the communications package which we supply. In addition, as part of the survey instructions, we provide a privacy and confidentiality statement as well as our contact information should employees have further questions about the steps we take to ensure anonymity of responses.

TalentMap maintains membership and participates actively in research industry associations including The Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) and The Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO) to ensure ethics and best practices are consistently deployed.

As active members of both organizations we are bound by their code of ethics to protect individual survey respondent anonymity. This code of ethics can be found at the MRIA and CASRO websites.

Confidentiality of Individual TalentMap Survey Responses - Each TalentMap survey response collected from any one respondent shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be divulged by TalentMap to the client or client's management team or to any third party. All identifying information will be removed for each respondent. Further to protect the confidentiality of individual respondents, we do not cut data below groups of five respondents. We also take care to ensure that any open ended responses that have the potential to reveal the respondent’s identity are stripped of identifying information.

Confidentiality of Aggregated Client Survey Data - The Client survey data comprising all TalentMap survey responses received from Client respondents, and any tabulation, reporting or analysis thereof, is the property of the Client, shall be kept strictly confidential and shall not be divulged by TalentMap to any third party for any purpose whatsoever except with the express written consent of a duly authorized Client representative.
